She has since performed 80 different roles in five different languages, in a range from Baroque music
to 20th century music.
She has an extraordinary sense of vocal technique. She is renowned for the warmth of her lyrical voice,
the psychological power of the images she creates, and her extraordinary acting talent and eternal
youth.
Ms. Tucci is considered one of the foremost interpreters of Verdi and Puccini, and is well known for her
performances of Aida, Desdemona, Mimi and Violetta.
“Singing is a colourful picture. You have an endless number of colours to play any role, but we don’t sing
only with our voices. We must sing with our entire body: our facial expressions, our mouths, our glance,
and even the movement of our hands is a part of overall expression”.
Ms. Tucci brings to her classes of young singers not only her powerful professionalism, but her passion
and sense of style. “For me the greatest joy is to pass on to others my love and knowledge of lyrical
arts”. “When I take part in a performance and teach, I experience deep emotions, which I’m happy to
share with my audience and students… When you have a good voice the important thing is to study
and continue to study. I try to pass on to young singers a sense of life, a careful attitude to the music
and words… For me teaching is a source of joy”.
