Tamara Sinyavskaya has been a soloist at Russia's Bolshoi Theatre since 1964.
She was 10 years old when she started performing in the Loktev Song and Dance
Ensemble.
In 1964, she graduated from the Music College of the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory
in Moscow and, in 1979 she graduated from Belyavskaya's master class at the
State Institute of Theatrical Arts.
In 1968 she was awarded the Grand Prix from the International Soloists' Competition
in Verviers, Belgium and First Prize at the International Singers' Competition in Sofia,
Bulgaria. In 1970 she won First Prize at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in
Moscow.
In 1973-74, Tamara Sinyavskaya interned at La Scala.
During her career as a performer, Tamara Sinyavskaya toured Belgium, Bulgaria,
Japan, China, Great Britain, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Germany, France,
the USA and Canada. She has worked with numerous famous conductors including
Yevgeny Svetlanov, Mstislav Rostropovich, Valery Gergiev, Gennady Rozhdestvensky,
Alexander Lazarev, Dmitry Kitaenko, Mark Ermler, and Bernard Haitink.
She has worked with Vladimir Spivakov's Moscow Virtuosos for many years performing
work by Bach, Vivaldi and Mozart.
